How Food Can Affect Our Genes

Did you know that our very DNA can be affected by the foods we are consuming? Although the genes we inherit are not changeable, the genes we turn “on” and “off” can be impacted.

Tyler Jean from talks in depth about the relationship between what we consume and the how effectively our bodies function. When we are avoiding odd chemicals and unnatural substances, our bodies are able to turn off genes that play a role and disease progression and dysfunction, while simultaneously turning on genes that promote homeostasis, or the normal balance, of our body.

We can all be better stewards of our health by eating and drinking products from natural sources, and by always reading the ingredient lists on packaged goods that we buy.
